11. Do you do outdoor events as well?

Absolutely. We do outdoor petting zoos and animal shows all year round in PA, NJ, DE, and NY (exotic shows PA only), as long as conditions are safe and reasonable for both animals and guests.

If weather looks uncertain, we’ll work with you on a backup indoor location or alternate plan when possible.

If it is extremely hot we ask you provide shade and if shade is not available let us know and we will bring a pop up tent.

12. Do you provide hand sanitizer for guests?

Yes. Every event includes hand sanitizing stations, and we strongly encourage all guests to sanitize or wash their hands after touching or feeding animals.

13. What animals are in the petting zoo?

Our petting zoo usually includes a variety of friendly farm animals, such as:

Goats
Sheep

Bunnies
Chickens
Ducks
Tortoises

Animals may vary slightly depending on availability and animal needs, but we always bring a fun, safe mix.

14. What animals are in the exotic animal show? (PA only)

Our exotic animal show (Pennsylvania only) features 10 different animals in a one-hour program. A typical lineup may include:

Lineups may change slightly to ensure the health and well-being of the animals.

15. Are you licensed and insured?

Yes. A Dash of Magic Events is licensed and insured, and we follow all applicable regulations for animal programs.
We can provide proof of insurance to schools, venues, and organizations upon request.

16. Is it safe for children to be around the animals?

Yes. Our animals are used to being around people, and every event is supervised by experienced handlers.

We:

Give clear instructions on how to safely pet and feed animals
Encourage gentle behavior at all times
Provide hand sanitizing stations

As with any live animals, we ask that young children are supervised closely by adults.

17. What do you need from us on the day of the event?

We keep our requests simple. We ask for:

A parking spot very close to the venue so we can unload animals and equipment safely
A clear, reasonably level area for the setup (indoors or outdoors)
Access to water in some cases (we’ll let you know in advance if needed)

Aside from that, we bring everything we need.

19. Can guests feed and pet the animals?

Yes. Petting and feeding (when appropriate) are a big part of the experience.

We provide approved animal feed
We show guests how to offer it safely
For the animals’ health and safety, no outside food should be given to them

Petting Zoos:
A Dash of Magic Events offers mobile petting zoos in Pennsylvania (PA), New Jersey (NJ), Delaware (DE), and New York (NY).

Exotic Animal Shows:
Our exotic animal shows are currently available in Pennsylvania (PA) only.

If you’re not sure whether we travel to your specific town or county, just contact us with your zip code and we’ll let you know.

2. Do you offer mobile petting zoos in New Jersey, Delaware, or New York?

Yes. Our petting zoo experiences are available in PA, NJ, DE, and NY, depending on distance and scheduling. Travel fees may apply for some locations, and we’ll go over that with you when you inquire.

3. Are your exotic animal shows available outside Pennsylvania?

At this time, our exotic animal shows are only available in Pennsylvania (PA).
If you’re in NJ, DE, or NY, you’re absolutely welcome to book our petting zoo, which is available in those states.

4. How do I book a mobile petting zoo or exotic animal show?

To book with A Dash of Magic Events, contact us with your:

Event date and time
Full address (including state)
Type of program (petting zoo or exotic animal show)
Approximate number of guests

We’ll confirm availability, go over details, and send you booking information.

5. Do you require a deposit to reserve my date?

Yes. We collect a 50% deposit to officially reserve your event date and time.
The remaining balance is due 3 days before the event.

6. What’s included in the price of my event?

Our pricing at A Dash of Magic Events is all-inclusive for your program. Your rate includes:

1–2 professional animal handlers (depending on the animals)
All animals for your chosen program
Complete setup and breakdown
Hand sanitizing stations
All standard equipment needed for a safe, fun experience

There are no hidden fees for handlers or basic setup.

7. How long is a typical petting zoo or exotic animal show?

Your booked time (1+ hours) is active show time, when guests are interacting with the animals.

We:

Arrive about 30 minutes early to set up
Stay about 30 minutes afterward to break down

This setup/breakdown time is not taken out of your booked hour(s).

8. Do you provide animal handlers at the event?

Yes. Every event includes 1–2 trained handlers, depending on the animals present.
Our handlers:

Supervise all interactions
Help guests pet and feed animals safely
Answer questions and share fun facts

9. Do you handle all setup and cleanup?

Yes. A Dash of Magic Events brings everything we need from start to finish.

We:

Bring all fencing, enclosures, tarps, and blankets
Set everything up before your event
Break everything down and clean up afterward

We work hard to leave the space as clean (or cleaner) than we found it.

10. Can you do indoor events? Will it be messy?

Yes, we offer indoor and outdoor events year-round.

For indoor shows, we set up “mess-free” areas by putting down tarps and blankets to protect floors and surfaces. While animals are never 100% predictable, we take strong precautions to keep your home or venue clean and tidy.
